3 essential tips for traveling light, looking stylish and always being ready to workout…
How’s it going mate! So, today’s post is slightly different but one that’s really going to help you in your everyday life.
A friend of mine recently asked me “Sul, how do you manage to look stylish on the go but always be gym ready”.
This got me thinking about all those days I used to run around London feeling like I was carrying a 20KG weight vest in my bag.
You know what I’m talking about when you’re bag weigh shitloads, it’s an arm session every time you pick it up and yes, your posture does look as shit as you think.
However, with some subtle changes and small investments you can easily travel lighter and still look stylish.
I’ve broken it down into 3 essential things you can do get around and always be workout ready…
Invest in a quality bag/backpack
“But Sul, I still love my Just Do It bag from school”. To be honest, if you’re over 20 and you’ve still got a Just Do It backpack, then there’s a bigger issue at hand.
Investing in a quality bag/backpack will make a huge difference. When selecting a backpack you want to make sure it covers these 3 points. 1. Enough space to fit all your gear. 2. Multiple compartments for technology (laptops, iPads etc) 3. Durability, take time to look at the quality of the fabrics.
The backpack featured in this post is from Forbes and Lewis. I’ve had this backpack for about two years, traveled with it, taken it to the gym and it’s still good as new (just smells a bit sweaty – ha).
You can pick up this backpack from Forbes and Lewis by clicking here.
It sounds simple and it really is! Think of it this way, if you were backpacking around the world you’re not going to pack all your thickest clothes. One, they’ll take up too much space and two it’s unnecessary weight.
Apply this same principle to your gym gear. All you need is a pair of shorts and a t-shirt/thin sweater. Roll them into a hot-dog and you’ll quickly see how light your bag becomes.
This outfit is from The Active Man and you can shop it here.
Those stylish runners
Trainers are always the thing that takes up the most space in your bag.
To get around this, pick up a pair of stylish runners that you can wear both inside and outside of the gym.
I’m sure you’ve seen people wearing suits with running shoes. Why can’t you! Find a stylish pair that you can dress up or dress down.
Trainers are Nike VaporsMax and you can shop here.
There you have it, those are the 3 things I personally do to ensure that I’m traveling light and still managing to look somewhat stylish haha.
